How a reset actually goes
A reset is a sequence, not an event. The stone gets examined and documented. It comes out of the old setting with its condition in mind. Then the new design gets built around what the diamond actually is, rather than around what a size chart says it should be. None of that gets rushed, because none of it can be undone.
- The diamond is examined and documented before it leaves the old setting.
- The new design is drawn around your actual stone and its real measurements.
- The original mounting comes back to you.
- Band and stack fit get planned before production, not discovered after.
