Client stories

The rings stay private. The stories don’t have to.

I don’t keep a public gallery of finished pieces. What I make for you stays yours. But the people are a different matter. These are the things clients tell me after the ring is on her hand, shared with their permission and credited the way they chose.

In their words

Budgets respected, timelines met, reports explained

We walked in thinking $3,500 wouldn’t get us anything special. Andrew built Jasmine an oval that gets compliments almost weekly, and he never once tried to push us past our number.

Custom oval engagement ring

I had about three weeks before I shipped out and every store quoted me six to eight. Andrew asked for my date, said that’s doable, and the ring was in my hand in 17 days. She said yes with time to spare.

Sean

Engagement ring on a deployment timeline

He put two diamonds with nearly identical reports under the loupe and showed me exactly why the cheaper one wasn’t the better deal. I have never had anyone in a sales situation talk me out of spending money before.

Priya

Radiant engagement ring

We came in with a screenshot from one of the big diamond websites, basically daring him. He sourced the same specs with a noticeably better stone, side by side you could see it, and his number was lower. Honestly didn’t expect that.

Andrew reset my grandmother’s diamond into something Lauren actually wears every day. He handled it like it was his own family’s stone, and he returned the old setting in a little pouch, which meant the world to my mom.

Heirloom diamond reset

Two jewelers told me my ring’s low basket meant I’d have to live with a gap band. Andrew made one that sits completely flush. It’s the detail I didn’t know to care about until he explained it.

Flush-fit wedding band

Second time around for me, and I wanted it done quietly and done right. One meeting downstairs at the Jewelers Exchange, straight answers, a written number, no theater. It’s a better ring than anything I saw the first time at twice the price.

Brian

Engagement ring, second marriage

My husband worked with Andrew on earrings for our twentieth. When one design was going to run over budget, Andrew just said so and showed us a smarter way to get the same look. They are the nicest thing I own.

Veronica

Twentieth-anniversary earrings

Andrew told me not to buy the first stone I liked. Who does that? He waited two weeks for a better one to come through his dealer at about the same price. That’s the moment I knew I’d be sending everyone I know to him.

Jordan

Cushion engagement ring

I’ll admit the no-storefront thing made me hesitate. Then I met him at the Jewelers Exchange, watched half the floor greet him by name, and had a written quote and a simple contract the same day. Easiest big purchase I’ve ever made.

About these reviews

Why are there no photos of the finished rings?

Because they belong to the people wearing them. Every piece is made for one person, and Andrew does not hand a client's ring over to be copied. The imagery on this site is inspiration, clearly labeled as such, and the stories below are shared with permission.

Are these reviews from real San Diego clients?

Yes. They are shared with permission and credited the way each couple chose, first names or full names. Nothing here is bought, incentivized, or written on anyone's behalf.

What do clients most often say afterward?

Two things come up more than anything else: that the budget was respected instead of stretched, and that seeing real diamonds side by side made the decision obvious. The timeline is the third, since most rings finish in about 14 to 30 days.

Can I talk to a past client before I commit?

Ask. Most of Andrew's work arrives by referral, so there is usually someone nearby who has been through it and is happy to say so.

Worked with Andrew? Tell him how it went.

Almost everyone here arrived because somebody sent them, which means what people say is the whole marketing department. If Andrew made something for you, or if you talked and it wasn’t the right fit, he wants to hear it either way.
